Poquita Paws Rescue is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to saving animals from shelters, the streets, and difficult situations.
We provide medical care, foster homes, and endless love until every animal finds their perfect family.
No animal is too old, too shy, or too broken to deserve a second chance.

Yeti
Dog3 years old
A Bexar County stray found in early August, Yeti had 9.5 pounds of mats shaved off under anesthesia. He is heartworm positive, now treated for ear infections, and will be neutered soon. At 46 lbs, he walked like a newborn giraffe after his first haircut — and he's ready to find his forever home.

Emma is a 10-pound senior Shih Tzu found stray in Bexar County with one eye and a serious leg wound. She had her rear right leg removed in April due to cancer and is now receiving rehab — cold laser, water treadmill, and acupuncture at Healing Hands. She is improving, hopping short distances, and standing to eat. Determined and sweet as can be.

Flower is a 12-pound Mini Poodle mix, about 1½ years old — and the best mom ever. Found on the street, she kept her baby girl Blossom safe through it all. She's spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready for her forever home. Adoption fee: $350.
